A course for parents, educators & caregivers raising children in a complex world.
Every Child Deserves
a Regulated Adult
Some children find that adult at home.
Some find them at school.
Some find them in a coach, caregiver, neighbor, or someone in their community.Â
You can be that person.
Caring deeply about children does not automatically give us the language, tools, or strategies to know what to do when emotions run high.
Maybe you know the feeling.
A child melts down, shuts down, throws something, refuses to move, or reacts in a way you did not expect.
Then suddenly, you have a choice to make too.
Do you react from your own frustration?
Try to correct the behavior immediately?
Do you pause long enough to notice what may actually be happening underneath it?
Raising Regulated AND Resilient Humans teaches you the brain-based tools, language, and practical strategies Dr. Courtney Bishop uses in her own home to navigate those moments differently.
Not perfectly.
Consciously.
So you can understand what is happening, choose how you want to respond, connect before correcting, repair when needed, and keep moving forward together.
Choose Consciously.
Challenge through Connection.
Create Forward Motion.Â
Â
Raising regulated and resilient humans starts with giving adults better tools for the moments that matter most.
The Hardest Moments Usually Happen Fast
A child throws something. They shut down. They yell, refuse, run away, or completely fall apart.
What happens in the moment
- You get louder.
- You repeat the direction.
- You try to reason.
- You take something away.
- You react before you’ve had time to think.
Was there another way I could have handled that?
What the pause makes possible
- What is happening here?
- What does this child need from me right now?
- What state am I in?
- What response will actually help us move forward?
Â
Â
That pause creates choice.
Choice is where regulation, connection, and resilience begin.
You do not need to get every moment right.
You need tools you can practice, language you can reach for, and a framework that helps you make a different decision when the next hard moment comes.
What Changes When You Have Better Tools
You may not be able to control every hard moment but you can become better equipped for what happens inside it.
Through Raising Regulated AND Resilient Humans, you’ll learn how to:
Recognize What’s Happening Beneath the Behavior
Understand how stress, brain states, and dysregulation can show up in both children and adults so you can respond to more than what you see on the surface.
Notice Your Own State Before You React
Build awareness of what is happening in your own body and brain so you have more opportunity to pause and choose your response.
Connect Before You Correct
Learn how to lead with connection when a child is overwhelmed, rather than expecting reasoning or correction to work before they are ready for it
Â
Use Language for the Hard Moments
Have practical words and strategies to reach for when emotions are high, instead of trying to figure out what to say in the middle of the moment.
Repair When Things Don’t Go as Planned
Move away from the pressure to handle everything perfectly and learn how to reconnect, repair, and keep moving forward when a moment gets messy.
Â
Model Regulation & Resilience in Real Life
Show children what it looks like to notice, regulate, reflect, make a different choice, and try again.
Children do not only learn these skills from what we tell them.
They learn from what they experience with us.
In this course, you’ll get:
Practical Tools for Real-Life
Forget fluff. Learn what actually works when emotions run high for you and the kids.
Brain Science Made Simple
Understand the “why” behind behavior and use it to teach, connect, and grow resilience.
Sustainable Framework
Language for hard moments and printable tools that help you lead with calm.
Here’s How We Put Regulation Into Practice
This course is designed to help you understand what is happening, practice what to do next, and build tools you can return to again and again.
Intro: A Journey of Growth
Start with the foundation of the work, why it matters, and how to use the course tools and symbols as you move through the experience.
Your Nervous System is Not the Enemy
Learn what happens in the brain and body during stress so you can better recognize dysregulation in yourself and the children you support.
What Regulation Actually Looks Like
Move beyond the buzzword and learn what regulation can look, sound, and feel like in everyday life for both adults and children.
Co-Regulation & Connection
Explore how connection supports regulation, what it means to meet a child where they are, and how to reconnect when things go sideways.
Tools for Real-Life Resilience & Sustainability
Bring the work together with practical tools, language, and reflection practices that help you keep using what you’ve learned long after the course ends.'
You’re not just learning about regulation.
You’re building a way to recognize it, practice it, model it, and return to it when real life gets messy.
Hi, I'm Dr. Court Bishop.
I’m a neurodivergent mom, educator, former school administrator, and Doctor of Education in Adult Learning.
I’ve spent decades studying how people learn, how the brain responds to stress, and what helps adults and children build regulation and resilience in real life.
But this work is not something I only study or teach.
I use it in my own home.
I know what it feels like to love your kids deeply and still become overwhelmed in the moments that move faster than your best intentions.
I also know what can change when you begin to understand what is happening beneath the behavior, recognize your own response, and give yourself another choice.
The tools and language inside Raising Regulated AND Resilient Humans are the same strategies I use with my own family.
They have changed the way we talk about emotions.
The way we respond when someone is overwhelmed.
The way we reconnect after something goes sideways.
And the way we understand what is happening in our brains instead of treating every hard moment like something that needs to be immediately fixed or punished.
I created this course because I believe this information should be easier for adults to access.
You should not need a doctorate, years of research, or a professional background in education to understand how regulation works.
You need practical tools, clear language, and a way to put the science into practice in the moments that matter.
That’s what I want to give you here.
What Participants Are Saying
Real feedback from people who have experienced Courtney’s work and put these tools into practice in everyday life.
“My biggest takeaway was learning to pause and give myself grace in order to reframe my thoughts, feelings, and actions in moments of dysregulation.”
“I’ve been able to slow down, pause, and process before proceeding, which is very hard to do when the world around us moves 100 miles an hour.”
“I like having time throughout the week to try out the strategies.”
“I appreciated the vulnerability she shared, which allowed many of us to share as well. The positivity and honesty that was modeled was impactful.”
