Ā Every Child Deserves a Regulated Adult.
Some children find that adult at home. Some find them at school. Some find them in a coach, caregiver, neighbor, or someone in their community.
You can be that person.
But caring deeply about children does not automatically give us the language, tools, or strategies to know what to do when emotions run high.
Choose Consciously.
Challenge through Connection.
Create Forward Motion.
Because raising regulated and resilient humans starts with giving adults better tools for the moments that matter most.
The Hardest Moments Usually Happen Fast.
A child throws something. They shut down. They yell, refuse, run away, or completely fall apart.
Before you have time to think, your own nervous system is reacting too.
You may feel yourself getting louder. Repeating the direction. Trying to reason with them. Taking something away. Or responding in a way that makes sense in the moment, only to wonder later:
Was there another way I could have handled that?
There can be. This work helps you build the awareness and practical skills to create more space between what happens and what you do next.
Instead of only asking
How do I stop this behavior?
You can begin asking
- What is happening here?
- What does this child need from me right now?
- What state am I in?
- What response will actually help us move forward?
That pause creates choice. Choice is where regulation, connection, and resilience begin.
You do not need to get every moment right. You need tools you can practice, language you can reach for, and a framework that helps you make a different decision when the next hard moment comes.
What Changes When You Have Better Tools
You may not be able to control every hard moment. But you can become better equipped for what happens inside it. Through Raising Regulated AND Resilient Humans, you'll learn how to:

Recognize What's Happening Beneath the Behavior
Understand how stress, brain states, and dysregulation can show up in both children and adults so you can respond to more than what you see on the surface.

Notice Your Own State Before You React
Build awareness of what is happening in your own body and brain so you have more opportunity to pause and choose your response.

Connect Before You Correct
Learn how to lead with connection when a child is overwhelmed, rather than expecting reasoning or correction to work before they are ready for it.

Use Language for the Hard Moments
Have practical words and strategies to reach for when emotions are high, instead of trying to figure out what to say in the middle of the moment.

Repair When Things Don't Go as Planned
Move away from the pressure to handle everything perfectly and learn how to reconnect, repair, and keep moving forward when a moment gets messy.

Model Regulation and Resilience in Real Life
Show children what it looks like to notice, regulate, reflect, make a different choice, and try again.
Because children do not only learn these skills from what we tell them.
They learn from what they experience with us.
Here's How We Put Regulation Into Practice
This course is designed to help you understand what is happening, practice what to do next, and build tools you can return to again and again.
Intro
A Journey of Growth
Start with the foundation of the work, why it matters, and how to use the course tools and symbols as you move through the experience.
Module One
Your Nervous System Is Not the Enemy
Learn what happens in the brain and body during stress so you can better recognize dysregulation in yourself and the children you support.
Module Two
What Regulation Actually Looks Like
Move beyond the buzzword and learn what regulation can look, sound, and feel like in everyday life for both adults and children.
Module Three
Co-Regulation and Connection
Explore how connection supports regulation, what it means to meet a child where they are, and how to reconnect when things go sideways.
Module Four
Tools for Real-Life Resilience and Sustainability
Bring the work together with practical tools, language, and reflection practices that help you keep using what you've learned long after the course ends.
You're not just learning about regulation.
You're building a way to practice it.
Recognize it, practice it, model it, and return to it when real life gets messy.
Hi, I'm Dr. Courtney Bishop.
I'm a neurodivergent mom, educator, former school administrator, and Doctor of Education in Adult Learning.
I've spent decades studying how people learn, how the brain responds to stress, and what helps adults and children build regulation and resilience in real life.
But this work is not something I only study or teach. I use it in my own home.
I know what it feels like to love your kids deeply and still become overwhelmed in the moments that move faster than your best intentions. I also know what can change when you begin to understand what is happening beneath the behavior, recognize your own response, and give yourself another choice.
The same tools I use with my own family.
They have changed the way we talk about emotions. The way we respond when someone is overwhelmed. The way we reconnect after something goes sideways. And the way we understand what is happening in our brains instead of treating every hard moment like something that needs to be immediately fixed or punished.
I created this course because I believe this information should be easier for adults to access. You should not need a doctorate, years of research, or a professional background in education to understand how regulation works.
You need practical tools, clear language, and a way to put the science into practice in the moments that matter. That's what I want to give you here.
What Participants Are Saying
Real feedback from people who have experienced Courtney's work and put these tools into practice in everyday life.
“I've been able to slow down, pause, and process before proceeding, which is very hard to do when the world around us moves 100 miles an hour.”
Program Participant
“My biggest takeaway was learning to pause and give myself grace in order to reframe my thoughts, feelings, and actions in moments of dysregulation.”
Program Participant
“I like having time throughout the week to try out the strategies.”
Program Participant
“I appreciated the vulnerability she shared, which allowed many of us to share as well. The positivity and honesty that was modeled was impactful.”

Want to Create a Bigger Ripple?
Every child deserves access to a regulated adult. Your purchase can help another parent, educator, or caregiver build these skills too.
When more adults have access to practical tools for regulation, connection, and resilience, more children get to experience those skills in the places they live, learn, and grow.
That's how the ripple begins.
Frequently Asked Questions
Who is this course for?
Raising Regulated AND Resilient Humans is designed for parents, educators, caregivers, and other adults who support children and want practical ways to respond with more awareness, connection, and intention.
You do not need a background in education, psychology, or brain science. The course is designed to make the research understandable and usable in everyday life.
What if I'm neurodivergent or raising neurodivergent children?
This work is designed to support both neurodivergent and neurotypical adults and children.
Courtney teaches from both professional expertise and lived experience as a neurodivergent parent. The course focuses on understanding brain states, nervous system responses, regulation, connection, and practical strategies without expecting every person to respond in the same way.
Is this only for parents?
No. Some children experience a regulated adult at home. Others experience that adult at school, in childcare, through a coach, or somewhere else in their community.
If you regularly support, teach, guide, or care for children and want better tools for navigating hard moments, this course can support that work.
What if I already know a lot about regulation?
Knowing about regulation and being able to access those skills in the middle of a difficult moment are two different things.
This course is focused on putting regulation into practice. You'll explore the brain science behind the work, but the goal is to help you build language, strategies, and decision-making tools you can actually use.
Does this course teach me how to stay calm all the time?
No. Regulation is not about never becoming frustrated, overwhelmed, or dysregulated.
It is about learning to recognize what is happening, understanding your own state, creating more opportunity to choose your response, and knowing how to reconnect and repair when things do not go as planned.
What if I've reacted in ways I'm not proud of?
You do not need a perfect track record to begin this work.
The course is built around awareness, practice, reflection, and forward motion. You'll learn tools that can help you approach future moments differently while also recognizing that repair is part of healthy relationships.
How much time will the course take?
The course includes five self-paced modules, so you can move through the material on a schedule that works for you.
There are no live sessions to attend and no deadline to finish within a certain number of weeks. You'll have one year of access to the videos, tools, and transcripts so you can return to the material as needed.
Do I need to show up live?
No. The course is completely self-paced. You can learn when it works for you, pause when you need to, and return to the material throughout your year of access.
Will this tell me exactly what to do with every child or behavior?
No single strategy will work for every child, adult, or situation.
The goal of this course is not to give you a script for every possible moment. It is to help you better understand what may be happening, build your decision-making capacity, and give you tools and language that can help you respond with greater intention.
Can I use these materials professionally?
The version of The Forward Framework™ taught in this course is intended for individual use.
